Publisher Description

Thank you for using Pool Calcs and for the care you put into every pool you look after. Your attention to readings, cleaning, and follow-up makes a difference. Pool Calcs puts the numbers and the work history in one place, whether you care for your own pool or serve customers.

Start with the size of the pool. Enter measurements in American or Metric units and get a volume estimate you can use when planning water care, equipment work, or a service visit.

Pool volume calculators cover:
- Circular and rectangular pools
- Square pools
- Elliptical and oval pools
- Free form and bean shaped pools

Keep the everyday math close at hand:
- Convert area, distance, volume, flow rate, and pressure
- Switch between Fahrenheit, Celsius, and Kelvin
- Estimate rainwater collection
- Review a Langelier Saturation Index estimate for water balance

A pool profile gives each property its own history. Record its capacity, shape, surface, sanitizer, filter, pump, climate, and notes. Search and sort your pool list when you need to find a detail on site.

Build a useful water test log:
- Save free and combined chlorine readings
- Record pH, total alkalinity, and calcium hardness
- Track cyanuric acid, salt, and water temperature
- Keep the test date and notes with each entry

When you add a product, save its name, amount, unit, reason, and optional before and after readings. A chemical dose record helps you see what you used last time, while a maintenance log keeps cleaning, filter work, pressure checks, equipment notes, and seasonal tasks with the pool they belong to. Save calculator results for later, too.

For service work, the Service tab helps you move from today's list to a finished visit:
- See scheduled, due, and unfinished visits
- Open an address in Maps when one is saved
- Record water readings, treatments, tasks, notes, and photos
- Keep equipment details and repair or upgrade estimates
- Follow up on recommendations awaiting a decision
- Share a service report with your business details

Record the service plan, visit date, and work completed. For each visit, you can enter revenue and direct labor or chemical costs to see a simple contribution estimate. Keep those numbers beside the notes for the job, ready to review before the next visit.

Create a customer once and assign multiple pools to them. The customer’s name, email, and phone stay shared, while each pool keeps its own service address and history. If you choose to allow Contacts access, you can import customer details from Apple Contacts and confirm updates before replacing saved fields. Your pool records remain available without Contacts access.

Insights and Care Habits help you review the work over time:
- Review water chemistry trends and compare readings across pools
- See filter pressure and treatment trends
- Check off daily care habits and follow your progress
- Review saved tests, treatments, visits, and maintenance in one pool history

Pool Calcs is a practical companion to your own testing and judgment. Follow product directions and local guidance when making chemical or maintenance decisions. With measurements, service notes, and pool history together, the next visit starts with the facts you already recorded.

For monthly subscriptions:
Monthly Pro is a 1-month auto-renewable subscription.

PoolCalcs does not replace professional testing, product directions, local codes, or qualified service. It gives careful pool owners and professionals a clear workspace for calculations and records, helping good decisions start with better information.

Small details matter during a busy day. Converter choices stay with the values you entered, temperatures below absolute zero no longer show a result, and the pool screens give more space to the information you came to see. The free plan also explains its daily limits more clearly, while Pro keeps the full calculator set and unlimited new record saves available to subscribers and lifetime owners.

Thank you again for using Pool Calcs and for keeping careful records. Whether you are checking one backyard pool or working through a service route, this release is meant to help you find the next useful detail and move on with the job. 7.7 5d ago Thank you for using Pool Calcs. New in this version:

- Added a full Pool Records area for keeping ongoing pool history in the app instead of scattered notes.
- Added pool profiles so you can save the pool name, gallons, shape, surface type, sanitizer type, filter type, pump type, climate region, and notes.
- Added water test logging for free chlorine, combined chlorine, pH, alkalinity, calcium hardness, cyanuric acid, salt, temperature, date, and notes.
- Added treatment records for chemical additions, dosage, units, reasons, notes, and linked before and after readings.
- Added maintenance logs for service tasks, filter pressure before and after, and general care notes.
- Added saved calculations so important results can be kept with the rest of the pool record.

The records workflow is much better now:

- Create a pool profile once and come back to it whenever you need it.
- Open a saved pool to reach its own record hub.
- Keep tests, treatments, maintenance entries, and saved calculations tied to the right pool.
- Review counts and history without digging through old notes.
- Make the app useful after the math is done, not just during the first setup.

The free plan is clearer and more useful:

- Circular Pool and Rectangular Pool stay available on the free plan.
- Those two calculators now show a visible remaining-today badge in the calculator list.
- Pool records are no longer hidden behind a blank wall on the free tier.
- The app now tracks daily free usage for the included tools in a way that is easier to follow.

Record saving on the free tier is now easier to understand:

- Free plan includes 1 new record save per day.
- You can use that daily save for a pool profile, water test, treatment, maintenance entry, or saved calculation.
- The app now stops extra free saves at the actual add and save points instead of leaving the limit unclear.
- Upgrade prompts appear when the daily limit is reached, right where the next step would happen.
- Pro keeps the records side open for unlimited ongoing use.

The upgrade flow is better too:

- The paywall now includes clearer privacy and terms links.
- Subscription wording is more direct about monthly billing and cancellation.
- Lifetime purchase messaging now does a better job explaining that it does not cancel an active monthly subscription by itself.
- Settings now includes a cleaner Pro status area.
- Support contact from the app now opens a real email flow instead of only sending you to a contact page.

Practical improvements you will notice:

- It is easier to save a pool and come back later.
- It is easier to attach the next reading to the right pool.
- It is easier to compare what happened before and after a treatment.
- It is easier to keep maintenance notes that are actually worth reading later.

Good update for:

- Pool owners who want fewer scattered notes
- Service techs who want a cleaner history on site
- Vacation property managers keeping track of multiple pools
- Anyone who uses a pool volume calculator often enough to be tired of retyping the same details
- Anyone who wants a pool care app that keeps both the numbers and the story behind them

If you have been using the app mainly for quick calculations, this release adds the missing half: a real place to keep the water readings, chemical work, maintenance trail, and saved scenarios that make those numbers useful later. 7.2 May 28 This update turns the app into a much stronger day-to-day pool tool. If you have been using the app mainly for quick calculations, this release adds the missing half: a real place to keep the water readings, chemical work, maintenance trail, and saved scenarios that make those numbers useful later. 7.1 May 26 This release turns the app into more than a calculator. It now works like a real pool care companion, with dedicated records you can keep and revisit every time you test, treat, clean, or compare options.

New in this version:

- Added a full Records tab for pool profiles and ongoing pool history.
- Added pool profiles so you can save the pool name, gallons, shape, surface, sanitizer, filter, pump, climate region, and notes.
- Added water test logging for free chlorine, combined chlorine, pH, alkalinity, calcium hardness, cyanuric acid, salt, temperature, date, and notes.
- Added treatment records for chemical additions, dosage, units, reasons, notes, and linked before-and-after readings.
- Added maintenance logs for service tasks, filter pressure before and after, and pool care notes.
- Added saved calculator scenarios so you can keep important estimates and revisit them later.

The workflow is also much clearer now:

- Create a pool profile first.
- Open that pool to reach its record hub.
- Add water tests, treatments, maintenance entries, and saved scenarios directly inside that pool.
- Keep each record attached to the right pool instead of scattering details across separate screens.
- See what belongs to a pool at a glance before you even open it.

Pool profile entry is faster too:

- Name, gallons, and notes are still easy to type.
- Shape, surface type, sanitizer type, filter type, pump type, and climate region now use quick horizontal pickers.
- Existing custom values are still respected when you edit older records.
- The editor is smoother to work through when you are moving fast.

The Records home screen has been cleaned up:

- The top area is more compact and easier to read.
- The records dashboard focuses on pool counts, tests, treatments, and maintenance entries.
- Pool cards do a better job showing what is inside each saved pool.
- The add flow is easier to spot from the first screen.
- It is more obvious that you tap a pool card to attach new records to that pool.

Quality-of-life improvements:

- Tapping the background dismisses the keyboard on the updated pool profile editor.
- The records screens better explain where to go next after a pool is created.
- The overall layout feels tighter and more focused on real pool care tasks.
- Calculators remain in their own tab, so fast pool math and saved records stay organized.
- Pool setup choices are easier to enter and review while standing outside by the pad.

Why this matters in day-to-day use:

- You can finally keep the number, the treatment, and the follow-up result together.
- Pressure readings no longer disappear into old notes or camera rolls.
- You can look back at what worked during hot weather, heavy rain, high bather load, or algae cleanup.
- It is easier to compare seasonal changes from one visit to the next.
- Saved pools make repeat care much less annoying.
- The app now feels much more useful once the calculator work is done.

Also improved:

- Better first-screen guidance for new users
- Cleaner records landing page copy
- Tighter record cards with clearer next steps
- Faster setup for pool profile details you choose often
- A more natural split between calculators and record keeping

Good update for:

- Pool owners who want to stop relying on memory
- Service pros who need quick history while on site
- Seasonal pool care tracking
- Water balance troubleshooting
- Chemical dosing follow-up
- Maintenance history you can actually use later
- Anyone who wants fewer scattered notes and a cleaner record trail

Version History Thank you for using Pool Calcs. The care you bring to each pool, from a quick water test to a full service visit, deserves tools that keep up. This update puts service work up front and gives your records more room to tell the whole story.

Plan the day from the new Service tab:

- Open Today's Service List to see scheduled, due, and unfinished visits.
- Start a visit from the list and keep the work tied to the right pool.
- Open a saved customer address in Maps when you need directions.
- Find customers, recommendation follow-up, and report branding in the same place.

Keep better notes while you work:
- Add water readings, chemical treatments, tasks, and customer notes to a service visit.
- Use quick entry choices for common readings, products, units, reasons, and tasks.
- Add photos when they help explain a condition or completed work.
- Use Help, Share, and Reset controls at the top of a visit.
- Share a service report with your chosen title, business name, contact details, technician, and footer.

Customer records have more useful choices:
- Share one customer record across multiple pools, with separate pool addresses and histories.
- Add a pool from a customer’s page or choose an existing customer when editing a pool.
- Create a customer in Pool Calcs without giving Contacts access.
- Import a customer from the Apple contacts you choose to share.
- Choose Import Updates to copy the latest details from an imported contact.
- Review a confirmation before an update replaces saved contact details.
- Unlink a contact without deleting the customer in Pool Calcs.

Pool Records now follows the life of each property:
- Add a service plan and keep visit reports with the pool profile.
- Record equipment details, including familiar or custom categories and models.
- Create repair and upgrade estimates, then track recommendations awaiting a decision.
- Keep water tests, chemical dose records, maintenance, and saved calculations together.
- Search and sort pools to get back to the right history more quickly.

There is more to learn from the work you already record:
- Pool Insights shows water chemistry trends, service activity, and pool comparisons over time.
- Review filter pressure changes and how treatments relate to later chlorine readings.
- Use Care Habits for daily checks, streaks, and milestones within the app.
- Read saved calculation values in plain labels instead of a block of data.

Backups and exports are easier to find in More:
- Save a full backup that includes supported pool and service records.
- Import a compatible full backup when you need to bring records into the app.
- Export spreadsheet files for individual record types.
- Share a backup or export through the options available on your device.
- Read clearer descriptions before choosing a backup or export action.

The rest of the app has been tidied up, too:
- Pools, Customers, Service, and More now have clear places in the main tab bar.
- Search the calculator list to find a pool shape or converter faster.
- Choose System, Light, or Dark appearance in Settings.
- Switch supported calculators between American and Metric units.
- Check for an App Store update when it suits you.
- Find shorter Help sections and the Pool Reference inside More.

Users like you made the priorities for this release clear: cleaner calculators, stronger records, easier backups, readable help, and reliable purchase access. This update improves each area while keeping routine work quick.

This release is built to make pool care easier to document and faster to review. Whether you look after one backyard pool or several client properties, your calculations, readings, treatments, maintenance history, and backups now fit together with less clutter and fewer extra steps.

A cleaner Calculators experience:

- Renamed the main tab to Calculators for a shorter, clearer label.
- Added light rounded cards, subtle borders, and grouped spacing to the calculator list.
- Removed crowded right-side arrows for cleaner cell edges.
- Kept calculator names, descriptions, access status, and icons easy to scan.
- Improved the layout for long names and descriptions on smaller screens.
- Added search so you can reach a specific calculator faster.

Pool Records now works like a real service log:

- Added a Help button and moved introductory instructions into a focused, readable Records guide.
- Added search by pool name plus sorting by name or type in ascending or descending order.
- Added detailed pool profiles for capacity, shape, surface, sanitizer, filter, pump, climate, and notes.
- Added water test logs for chlorine, pH, alkalinity, hardness, CYA, salt, temperature, date, and notes.
- Added chemical treatment, maintenance, pressure, and saved calculator records inside each pool history.

The PoolCalcs Pro panel is easier to manage:

- Added a collapse control so the plan summary does not take over the Records screen.
- Made free-plan status and remaining daily access easier to understand.
- Improved upgrade messaging around unlimited records and calculators.
- Removed the extra daily-limit alert and now opens the paywall directly when an upgrade is required.

Import & Export is now available from More:

Settings has been rebuilt around useful controls:

- Choose American or Metric units for the app.
- Check for an available App Store update.

- Added clear notice that the software is provided AS IS without warranty. 7.3 Jul 15 This update turns the app into a much stronger day-to-day pool tool. The calculator side is still fast, but now the records side does real work too, and the free plan is easier to understand at a glance.

Version History Thank you for using PoolCalcs and for putting real care into every pool you manage. You made the priorities for this release clear: cleaner calculators, stronger records, easier backups, readable help, and reliable purchase access.

- Create a complete JSON backup of supported pool records.
- Restore data from a compatible PoolCalcs JSON backup.
- Export pool data as CSV for spreadsheets and general record keeping.
- Share backup and CSV files with Files, Mail, AirDrop, and other available iOS destinations.
- See clear explanations of backup, restore, and export behavior before continuing.

Settings has been rebuilt around useful controls:

- Choose American or Metric units for the app.
- Check for an available App Store update.
- View the installed version and build number.
- Clear saved calculator inputs without removing pool profiles.
- Open support, privacy, and terms information.

Help and reference improvements:

- Reworked Help into shorter sections with headings and readable explanations.
- Added focused Records help for search, sorting, record types, deletion, and backups.
- Removed overly technical formula dumps that were difficult to read.
- Simplified the Reference introduction and removed the redundant library panel.
- Kept source names and links available for users who want the original material.
- Added clear notice that the software is provided AS IS without warranty. 7.4 6d ago Thank you for using PoolCalcs and for putting real care into every pool you manage.

- Service pros who need quick history while on site

- Water balance troubleshooting

7.2 5d ago This update turns the app into a much stronger day-to-day pool tool. The calculator side is still fast, but now the records side does real work too, and the free plan is easier to understand at a glance.
